So, let me tell you...
Can you believe we're in the middle of January already!? Like whaaa... so crazy. Anyways, at some point, I'll be able to get on track with the consistent posting schedule that I 've planned for the year. Until then, please, bear with me. January started like it was shot out of a cannon.
However, this is the first look that I shot this year, and I'm obsessed solely because of the DIY side split jeans. I found these Levis towards the beginning of last year for $6 at one of my local thrift stores. I didn't try them on at the time, but when I did, I realized that they were a lot smaller than I thought. They're juniors. But clearly, that didn't stop me from finagling myself into them. I just needed a bit more leg room. So a snip at the hem, lead to a rip up the side and viola, I had my much-needed leg room. I loved the way these jeans moved while I was walking. This by far is my favorite impromptu denim DIY that I've done. The first time up, I decided to keep it simple by styling them with this vintage velvet boatneck tunic. But, before I wear these nifty jeans again, I'll have to add a stay stitch above the split so that they don't rip any farther. I mean, I can be cheeky, but not that cheeky. ;)
You should totally try this DIY, it's so easy. If you do, let me know how they turn out in the comments below.
I hope you're having a great week.
