Burgundy Trench 3 Ways

So, let me tell you...

Burgundy has been a popular color this season, and I'm loving it! Because my burgundy selection is a bit scanty, adding this burgundy trench from SheIn was a no brainer. As much as I wanted to grab my go-to black pieces for this outfit, I decided to keep the overall look light for a holiday party. I paired the trench with my absolute favorite pair of vintage high waist trousers. The pants look gray in the pictures, but they have a small black and white houndstooth print on them. I love the way these pants elongate my legs and with the length of the trench being what it is these two pieces played well together. I'm not sure if you all know by now, but I really enjoy finding different ways to wear traditional pieces. With that, I played around a bit with the belt from the trench to create some slight variations for this look. Because the trench is lightweight, it was easy to manipulate without looking bulky.

The first way is the traditional way, worn open, or tied closed, accentuating your waist.

The second way is by threading the trench's belt through its belt loops and then continuing to thread the belt through the loops of your pants (or skirt, if it has belt loops) and tieing it into a little bow or a looped knot. This way still accentuates your waist, but you can now see more of your top. A nice option to have if you are wearing a fancier top that you want to be seen.

The third way is to remove the belt from the trench altogether and use it as a belt for your pants (or skirt) giving you an extra little pop. Which way is your favorite? 1, 2, or 3?

There is one other way that I thought of later on, but I'll save that for next time...
